The FBA site in East Stoke, Wareham has a number of offices and laboratories available for rent which range from 80 square feet (6.5 metres) to 198.65 square feet (18.46 square metres). An entire farmhouse with its offices totalling 1597.268 square feet (148.41) is also available to rent as a whole or as individual offices.
The estate itself consists of 3 hectares of wet meadow and pasture as well as 5 hectares of fen and carr woodland. There is also unrestricted access to 5 KM of the River Frome.
We also offer a number of facilities for your research needs such as:
- Seven gravity-fed experimental stream channels (up to 10 m long) fed from the River Frome.
- 56 circular tanks with a volume of 1.3 m3. 20 of these are sunk into the ground and the other 36 are on the surface. These are owned by Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) but collaborative use can be negotiated.
- A running water aquarium which directs the flow of the mill stream through two glass-sided channels within a building equipped with basic laboratory facilities.
- A flowing gauging station, automatic fish counters which are owned by the Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust (GWCT) and tag detectors.
